Ameristar Perimeter Security USA Inc., ASSA ABLOY (Ameristar) manufactures and distributes high quality fence, gates, bollards, and barriers for residential, commercial, industrial, and high security applications.
Ameristar is committed to sustainable business practices through:
- Preventing pollution and minimizing waste generation;
- Reducing consumption of natural resources;
- Maintaining compliance with relevant environmental regulations;
- Decreasing energy consumption, thereby decreasing CO2 emissions;
- Reducing the overall environmental impact from our activities, products, and services.
We strive to continually improve our environmental protection efforts through the engagement of our employees, continual improvement of our environmental management system (EMS), and commitment of our top management.

- ASSA ABLOY, Ameristar’s parent company, has committed to Science Based Targets with a goal of reducing carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, and reaching net-zero by 2050. Ameristar is an important part of that reduction journey and employs the divisional sustainability coordinator to drive energy reduction projects.
- Ameristar tracks sustainability KPIs including energy, waste generation, water consumption, and organic solvent consumption. We continuously work to draw down our consumption in all these areas.
- In 2020 Ameristar created a Green Team to raise awareness around sustainability and help drive sustainability projects in the facility.
- Our products have a long life with little-to-no maintenance or replacement required, thereby reducing waste in the value chain.
- 99% of Ameristar’s product can be recycled at the end of its life.
